OPERATIONS & FINANCE MANAGER
Lisa Bremer is inspired by both the artistic and business side of classical music. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Business from William Paterson University. Her initial desire was to work at a record company. For fun, she was a lead singer of a classic rock cover band called The Mugshots. While earning her Bachelor's degree, she took voice lessons for the first time and fell in love with singing opera. After a year of working full-time as a staff accountant for a music business management firm, Van Duyne, Bruno & Co., she decided to follow her passion by earning a Master's in Vocal Performance at Montclair State University. While earning her Master's, Lisa worked as the Graduate Assistant for Dr. Heather J. Buchanan, where she learned how to work on logistics and programming for a University Chorale during the time of Covid. She was also fortunate enough to be hired as the Managerial Assistant at ADA Artist Management, where she gained skills in organizing artist materials and liaising between artists and producing companies. She is excited to continue supporting artists with her new role as Operations and Finance Manager at UIA.
As an emerging soprano, Lisa Bremer has sung roles such as Madame Flora in The Medium, Third Lady in The Magic Flute, Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Amy in The Battle of Bull Run Always Makes Me Cry, Sandman in Hansel and Gretel, and performed scenes as Secretary in The Consul, Eustazio in Rinaldo, Dot in Sunday in the Park with George, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, and singing with the Light Opera of New Jersey for their Gilbert and Sullivan showcase Savoy Faire. This season, Lisa will return to the Savannah Voice Festival performing as the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas.
